Howard Snider Posted February 14, 2020 at 08:51 PM Posted February 14, 2020 at 08:51 PM Not sure what happened. It was there one minute, then it as gone. I can't even find the mini toolbar tab on the screen. Anyone have a fix? https://gyazo.com/0be612cec8c9d02733c7fdafae2a2ac4 Howard Snider Instructor ZJX ARTCC
Ross Carlson Posted February 15, 2020 at 01:00 AM Posted February 15, 2020 at 01:00 AM I [Mod - Happy Thoughts]ume you have tried closing or moving all other views to be sure the toolbar button isn't hiding behind them. Is that right? Developer: vPilot, VRC, vSTARS, vERAM, VAT-Spy Senior Controller, Boston Virtual ARTCC
Howard Snider Posted February 15, 2020 at 02:25 AM Author Posted February 15, 2020 at 02:25 AM Correct. The screenshot is everything moved around to search. Howard Snider Instructor ZJX ARTCC
Ross Carlson Posted February 15, 2020 at 03:59 AM Posted February 15, 2020 at 03:59 AM Could be that the toolbar button somehow got placed off the edge of the screen. It's supposed to move anything that is off screen to the closest edge of the visible portion of the screen, but maybe something interfered with that process. Have you tried resizing the window? Howard Snider Posted February 15, 2020 at 04:30 AM Author Posted February 15, 2020 at 04:30 AM Yes. Fully manipulated the window in unlocked mode. Nothing there. Is there a way to reinstall without losing my saved fixes, etc? Howard Snider Instructor ZJX ARTCC
Ross Carlson Posted February 15, 2020 at 04:49 PM Posted February 15, 2020 at 04:49 PM In order to not lose your settings, you'll need to manually edit the config file. It can be found by opening this folder in Windows Explorer: %localappdata%\vERAM The file is called vERAMConfig.xml In that file, look for any occurrences of a line like this: There will be one such entry for each facility you have imported. The X/Y values will be different for you. If you edit them you should be able to get the Toolbar button to reappear. Be sure to edit the file while vERAM is NOT running. Howard Snider Posted February 16, 2020 at 07:00 AM Author Posted February 16, 2020 at 07:00 AM Wow. Tried all that , too. Can't seem to figure it out. Can you look at my config file? The default screen is the only one with the problem. All sub windows are working. When I open another facility file , the toolbar shows up. Hate to lose all my settings. Ross Carlson Posted February 17, 2020 at 02:38 AM Posted February 17, 2020 at 02:38 AM Howard, which facility are you having this issue with? Developer: vPilot, VRC, vSTARS, vERAM, VAT-Spy Senior Controller, Boston Virtual ARTCC
Ross Carlson Posted February 17, 2020 at 01:03 PM Posted February 17, 2020 at 01:03 PM Turns out you had display decluttering enabled. From the docs: I had forgotten that this feature would allow you to hide the toolbar and all tear-off buttons. Howard Snider Posted February 18, 2020 at 02:29 AM Author Posted February 18, 2020 at 02:29 AM thanks Ross. I did not turn that on intentionally. I have tons of real estate. I will check when I get home. Howard Snider Instructor ZJX ARTCC
