Jeffrey Edward 1008313 Posted February 16, 2020 at 03:55 AM Posted February 16, 2020 at 03:55 AM This is probably a huge topic, but how does one go about creating a private network, say for a virtual airline, in which we could use current software but only those connected to it could see the other pilots? Like a private vatsim network? Is it possible?
Andrew McCabe Posted February 16, 2020 at 08:34 PM Posted February 16, 2020 at 08:34 PM Well only those connected to Vatsim can see other pilots. However, if you mean that only your own va pilots can see each other you can set up a private server using something like fsopen. Have a look at http://www.fsopen.co.uk. However, you won't have any atc etc and it could be a lonely existence. You could try group flights on Vatsim with your va as another option and that way still get the benefits of Vatsim. Norman Blackburn Posted February 17, 2020 at 12:23 PM Posted February 17, 2020 at 12:23 PM You won't however be able to use any VATSIM software on any private network. Norman
Richard McDonald Woods Posted February 17, 2020 at 01:06 PM Posted February 17, 2020 at 01:06 PM Jeffrey, An option might be to set a filter within VAT-Spy for your airline code so that their flights are highlighted on the map. Cheers, Richard You are the music, until the music stops. T.S.Eliot
