Robbie Goldberg 955962 Posted September 14, 2006 at 07:23 PM Posted September 14, 2006 at 07:23 PM Hello i just bought X-Plane the other day and i no that it is more relistic in instruments on a plane. My only questions are does it work well with VATSIM and how is the scenery. Is FS2004 better? It has not been shiped here yet but i do have fs2004 and been playing it for about a year and been on VATSIM for about 3 months. So i thought i would step it up a notch and try something alittle more advanced. Peter Nolin 954217 Posted September 14, 2006 at 10:25 PM Posted September 14, 2006 at 10:25 PM You should probably read some of the threads in this forum. Many wonders about the scenery. If you didn't buy global scenery - tough luck! The new global scenery is amazing but what everyone must understand is that X-Plane comes with no airportbuildings. Only runways and taxiways. If you ask me the total scenery is better in X-Plane (with global scenery). I like the coloring and the "feel" of mother earth. But ofcourse, MSFS scenery is much more detailed regarding buildings. So if you wan't to fly around and try to find your own house - forget it. But if you are bright enough there are ways to convert your favourite MSFS scenery to X-Plane. However. Money is a wonderful thing. There are always ways to improve everything. And with money you can ofcourse buy enhanced scenery.. Some freeware airportbuildings/scenery are posted in the thread below. Also in the thread "X-Plane links".
