Timothy Bryant Posted March 1, 2020 at 06:34 AM Posted March 1, 2020 at 06:34 AM In a number of attempts at a flight in the SSG 747-8 v2 i keep crashing to desktop all with the same issue being Fault Module Name: xPilot.xpl The plugin seems to crash with or without connection to VATSIM
Robert Shearman Jr Posted March 1, 2020 at 06:56 PM Posted March 1, 2020 at 06:56 PM Justin might request some more logs to get to the bottom of this, but for starters I would suggest you make sure you didn't have X-Plane running the last time you updated xPilot, which would cause an incomplete update process. A mismatch between the plug-in version and the separate app version because this was done semms to be one of the leading causes for CTDs with xPilot. Cheers, -R. Timothy Bryant Posted March 2, 2020 at 04:24 AM Author Posted March 2, 2020 at 04:24 AM Thanks, Ill reinstall xPilot and will report back on my next flight sometime during the week. Do you know which logs Justin might be after? Sadly I didnt grab the xplane log at the time of the crash
Justin Shannon Posted March 3, 2020 at 04:31 PM Posted March 3, 2020 at 04:31 PM Timothy, let’s start with your X-Plane log.txt file. I would suggest uploading its contents to a file sharing website, such as pastebin.com. Timothy Bryant Posted March 4, 2020 at 04:30 PM Author Posted March 4, 2020 at 04:30 PM Fortunately (or rather unfortunately) i again had the CTD and was able to grab the log https://pastebin.com/zTv9Bcxp nothing noteworthy except xPilot: Json p[Mod - Happy Thoughts]r error: [json.exception.p[Mod - Happy Thoughts]_error.101] p[Mod - Happy Thoughts] error at line 1, column 1: syntax error while parsing value - invalid literal; last read: 'w' The Network log - https://pastebin.com/52MpiZjQ Plugin Log - https://pastebin.com/i1Zzpzs2 and again the crash was Fault Module Name: xPilot.xpl as posted earlier Flight was a C210 PADK - PADU, full sim restart to start new flight YMML-YSSY in Zibo 738 both were connected to vatsim, however it was near t/c after departing ymml for the ctd this time. Also to note, Xplane was the only crash, xPilot application was still running when CTD occured
Timothy Bryant Posted March 8, 2020 at 08:59 AM Author Posted March 8, 2020 at 08:59 AM Again I had another CTD incident but didnt have the xPilot application running however it reported the plugin was the reason. Perhaps the plugin was looking for the application? Log - https://pastebin.com/svbzTBUw https://imgur.com/a/EGFZ2XJ
Robert Shearman Jr Posted March 8, 2020 at 01:37 PM Posted March 8, 2020 at 01:37 PM This is just another guess on my part, but are you running any other plugins which would take control of AI traffic? That is another source of potential conflict with xPilot and other VATSIM pilot clients. Cheers, -R.
Timothy Bryant Posted March 8, 2020 at 02:32 PM Author Posted March 8, 2020 at 02:32 PM I had world traffic at one point in time however I currently do not run any traffic. I do notice a random 737 flying around at some point one XP11 however i do not see any plugins for such traffic My Plugins folder: https://imgur.com/a/GgPgheY
