The application process for the position of Deputy Marketing Director (VATME6) has started.

 

VATSIM Middle East is looking to start expand its Marketing Department to fulfil the division's marketing needs.

 

REPORTS TO: VATSIM Middle East – Marketing Director [VATME5]

RESPONSIBLE FOR: Management of VATSIM Middle East Events and Social Media Platforms including but not limited to

 

• Deputize for the Head of Marketing as required.

• Have an overview of all marketing within the division;

• Manage the marketing strategy;

• Work with local vACC Events & Marketing Staff.

• Help local vACCs plan & execute events;

• Coordinate with other division event teams to plan bi-monthly events,

• Attend events and meetings relevant to the role.

• Create Event banners when needed.

• Identify and implement partnerships where appropriate.

• Work with the Marketing Director to produce Quarterly event reports.

• Liaise with vACC event departments and Virtual Airlines to ensure statutory obligations (e.g. branding) are met and cross-promotion maximized.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: The successful applicant will meet the following minimum standards:

 

• Hold an S3 rating as a minimum.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Membership of VATME or willing to become a member of VATME.

• Familiarity with administering Facebook Pages, Groups, Instagram & Twitter Feeds.

• Must be in good standing within the VATSIM Network.

• Familiarity with Graphic creation tools such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

• Demonstrated past experience in staff roles or other managerial positions.

• A commitment to maintain a strong online presence throughout their appointment, In addition to a minimum of 5 hours per week in this role.

• Excellent copywriting and editing skills, including the effective use of appropriate style and tone in a range of contexts.

• Fluent in English.
