Corbett Wilson 1480627 0
I am bran new to vatsim. Where can I find information about finding frequencies?
Andreas Fuchs 302
Hi Corbett and welcome to VATSIM! In swift have a look into the "ATC" widget. You can filter ATC with "in range" and without that setting. Andreas Fuchs 302
Hi Corbett, there are (almost) no stupid questions The community gladly helps. When you run swiftGUI you will see a "button" (we call it "widget") with an inscription saying "ATC". All ATC-stations in your vicinity/in range will be listed there. You may want to watch my video tutorial about swift. It features a little tour through the client and shows you options and settings. Choose the video swiftGUI Basics, First Connection to VATSIM, Program Tour. Please keep asking if things are unclear. Adrian Lasanta 1482248 0
Hi! I am begining my experience in VATSIM. So far everything has been OK. However, I have a problem with UNICOM frecuency. So, using Swift for MAC, I can communicate with other users through COM 1 and COM 2 but when I try to put in active the UNICAM frecuency (in my case 122,800) , the COM 1 (also COM 2 too) goes to a disconnected mode. Therefore, I can not communicate with this frecuency with other uses. For more details just to comment that I do not have problems either ATIS, TWR, APP, CTR, ... etc. All my concerns are about UNICOM frecuency. Could you help me, please? Is it this problem already known for anybody? Thanks a lot. BR Adrian
Tobias Dammers 59
Just to rule out a silly thing: did you enter "122.8" or "122,8"?
Adrian Lasanta 1482248 0
It seems that this is not the issue. This character (, or .) is set in the swift tool and I can not modify it, because it is fixed in the space where you enter de frecuency. Thanks, Adrián
Andreas Fuchs 302
I have never heard about this, but we do not have too many Mac-users. Would you like to join our swift support Discord server? https://dev.swift-project.org/w/contact/ Cheers, Andreas Member of VATSIM GermanyMy real flying on InstagramMy Twitch streams of VATSIM flights and ATC
Adrian Lasanta 1482248 0
Thanks Andreas, I think that sharing this issue with all swift communiy is the best option. Adrian
Andreas Fuchs 302
Yes, our Discord is the best place, because we got some Mac users there who can help and test. Andreas Fuchs 302
In the meantime we can look for some details here, about your case. What do you mean with "disconnected mode" when you tune 122.800? What do you see that you determine that you got disconnected from voice?
