Sean Harrison Posted March 30, 2020 at 01:14 AM Posted March 30, 2020 at 01:14 AM Has anyone seen the latest developer video which explains in some detail the multiplayer environment? I am a little concerned that we may not have been considered in the next evolution of MS FlightSim. Appears that they have created their own multiplayer environment with servers that auto connect you etc. Not sure if they will entertain ATC from real people on their servers..... I hope they will. https://flyawaysimulation.com/news/4953/#episode7 Sean C1/O P3
Mats Edvin Aaro Posted March 30, 2020 at 01:09 PM Posted March 30, 2020 at 01:09 PM FSX also has its own multiplayer. From what I know, MSFS will support SimConnect, which makes it possible to hook it up to services like VATSIM. It's just down to making a client for it. Andreas Fuchs Posted March 30, 2020 at 01:53 PM Posted March 30, 2020 at 01:53 PM I have no doubt that vPilot, swift and whatever program is able to connect P3D/FSX to VATSIM now, will also be able to talk to FS2020 at some point. Ira Robinson Posted March 30, 2020 at 04:47 PM Posted March 30, 2020 at 04:47 PM I should think that if, after everything that has been done to increase the efficiency of the network this past year, somebody, somewhere must have thought to reach out or make some connection with the people developing the new program. It would be more than just a shame if there were no way to connect and our hard working computer gurus were asked to once again, drop everything and run run run to make things work! __________ Ira Robinson
