Therese Elmiger Posted April 7, 2020 at 03:46 PM Posted April 7, 2020 at 03:46 PM Hello everybody As ATC I use AFV with Euroscope, and the audio quality has indeed improved a lot. However, I am having problems with the Internet connection. For security reasons we use outbound (egress) filtering on the firewall. When analyzing the traffic on the firewall, it appears that AFV is trying to connect through ports that were not previously used. We have found attempts to connect to the server "li1958-159.members.linode.com" on port 50000. However, according to the Euroscope docomeentation (https://www.euroscope.hu/wp/connection-features), only port 3291/udp is used for Ground-to-Air and Land line voice calls. I could not find an update or docomeentation on https://audio.vatsim.net/. Could someone who is familiar with this matter shed some light on this matter, please? Thank you and best wishes Therese Elmiger
Nestor Perez Posted April 7, 2020 at 04:57 PM Posted April 7, 2020 at 04:57 PM (edited) Euroscope documentation's ports were for the old voice software which we no longer use. The new voice system connects indeed to UDP port 50000 on the server. Edited April 11, 2020 at 11:32 PM by Nestor Perez Me.
