Been a couple of weeks, the search index still hasn't been re-built. Really annoying when I want to find that one topic but can't because of the new topic URL - would you pleeease be able to implement some sort of redirect solution or something? Thanks

Can the number of brightly coloured names in the user list be cut down to the bare minimum [i.e. the VPs]? I don’t know why highlighting who is a web developer [etc] is needed. Most of VATSIM are staf

How is the information about read threads stored? If I mark all forums as read, on my PC and go to my laptop and open up the forums with my account, they are all unread again?

I believe it takes a while after clicking for the posts to be marked as read. At least that’s what I’ve noticed myself.

Quoted texts and some images in signatures don't appear here (Firefox 48, OSX 10.6.8, and yes, I know, these are old specs so you'll tell me to upgrade my machine, which I can't without losing important apps).

Attached is a screenshot of what I got from Nick Marino'v's recent post, which misses both of these things:

How do you get your Vatsim ID to show up on the right hand side when you post? I notice some members ID`s show up and other it does show it.

So, is the forum still going to be backwards compatible with the old links or not?

Hello. I'd like to have the opportunity to edit my post even after 5 minutes after the message had been posted. Is it possible to do so?

Yes, you should be able to edit your own posts even after days and weeks. There's an "edit" option at the bottom left of your post, next to "Quote", at least on the regular browser version.

Hi,

On my phone (Android&Chrome, latest update), some users have their names written in a color. However, some of these colors are impossible to read, especially when the screen's brightness is below 70%.

Please see the attached screenshot.

Would it be possible to change these colors?

On the PC however, all names are written in white...

Kind regards,

Martijn

Hey, we can try out some different colors that aren't so hard on the eyes. These colors are the usergroup colors so on the desktop version, the color is displayed on the usergroup and not the username. I apologize & we'll sort something out so it's easier to see.

You should be able to do this already, I'll take a look at your permissions shortly to make sure you can edit your own post for an infinite amount of time.

I just noticed that I have a duplicated forum account; one that just joined last Sunday (6/14) and one that is my original from 2007 with all the post history. Did not logout or anything, I just noticed that I'm posting from the new account now. Any ideas?

I did notice that my first forum account in the new version doesn't have the VATSIM ID. Now the VATSIM ID shows but all my account post history is gone.

I've rebuilt the search index for you. Can you see if it works for you now?

The old forum theme (for the previous forum version) is still enabled for Admins while I grab some stuff. Will get rid of it. ❤️

EDIT: I fixed it!

It appears after recent upgrade, using either Firefox or Chrome, VATSIM ID numbers no longer appear.
Thanks for having a look.
