Dave Hagen Posted April 23, 2020 at 06:59 PM Posted April 23, 2020 at 06:59 PM Hello, sorry might sound stupid and also sorry if this is in a wrong forum, but wanted to know (not that I will ever do that) if you drink beer, and you are on a point that you are a little bit drunk (not really drunk but on the border or tipsy, more between that), and the ATC notices you slur your words a bit, will you be automatically be booted or will they tell you like: "Hey listen, i think you have enough to drink now"
Mats Edvin Aaro Posted April 23, 2020 at 07:04 PM Posted April 23, 2020 at 07:04 PM This is a really funny topic, but to answer it, no there's no "restriction" on drinking, as long as you can follow ATC instructions and what is expected of you on the network. I've had some... Interesting encounters with intoxicated pilots and controllers over the years. 😛 Makes for a good laugh! 2 Mats Edvin AarøAssistant to the Vice President - Supervisors VATSIM General Manager: Member Engagement[email protected]

Andreas Fuchs Posted April 25, 2020 at 08:06 AM Posted April 25, 2020 at 08:06 AM (edited) In Germany the legal drinking age for low-alcoholic drinks, such as beer, is 16 years. Higher percentage stuff is limited to 18 years of age, and I do not mean just the age of the bottle 😄 Edited April 25, 2020 at 08:07 AM by Andreas Fuchs 1 Cheers, Andreas Member of VATSIM GermanyMy real flying on InstagramMy Twitch streams of VATSIM flights and ATC

There are several excellent beers from Belgium which match wine for strength. Piraat, for example, is 10.5%, I believe, and Duvel is a close second. And the bubbles increase the rate of absorption of the alcohol so the stuff has a more immediate effect than wine. Or so I've been told… :) Alistair Thomson === Definition: a gentleman is a flying instructor in a Piper Cherokee who can change tanks without getting his face slapped.
