Rodolfo Pockorny Posted May 1, 2020 at 03:22 PM Posted May 1, 2020 at 03:22 PM Hello, I don´t know if this is the correct forum to make this question. When I fly P3D v4.5 on VATSIM network use Active Sky with the option VATSIM enabled. But the weather shows differences between .metar on vPilot and Active Sky. Because what I have read in other forums I understand that this is the correct way. But I wish to know if there are indications about this item in VATSIM that I didn´t find. Thanks in advance for your comments. Rodolfo
Andreas Fuchs Posted May 1, 2020 at 06:29 PM Posted May 1, 2020 at 06:29 PM (edited) Hello Rodolfo, the METAR information that VATSIM collects and distributes is sometimes lagging behind by one cycle (=20 minutes). If you use Active Sky's VATSIM-option, your weather will be synchronized with what ATC assumes as current weather. If not, then you might have slightly different weather. Normally, this is not a big headache. Edited May 1, 2020 at 07:48 PM by Andreas Fuchs typos... Then, because of your answer, I understand that it is correct to use Active Sky with that option active meanwhile fly in VATSIM Best regards, Rodolfo
