How to find VRP`s - Visual Reporting Points

Hello!

So far nearly all my flights on VATSIM are IFR... now I want to dive into VFR more.

Searching for IFR charts and Waypoints is relatively easy as there are many offers from navigraph, skyvector and so on... but it seems there is nothing for VRP`s.

So I wondered if they are used on VATSIM? After a ton of searching I found some info on VRPs for Austria but transferring them all point by point into Little Navmap is too much work.

How are you doing your VFR planning? With VRPs or without them?

Thank you!

https://www.openflightmaps.org/wp-content/plugins/ofmTileMap/ofmTileMap_full.php?airac=2005&language=english&coverage&controls This covers many countries in Europe, however it will not help much if you want the coordinates of them.

For Norway you can access the AIP https://ais.avinor.no/en/AIP/ > AD 2 Aerodromes > Select the airport > "Charts related to an aerodrome" > "Visual Approach Chart - ICAO"
Coordinates are in one of the corners.

Flying VFR you need to be able to find your position using visuals only. So the VFR reporting point needn't have to be known by LAT/LON. Just look out of the cockpit windows and compare you position with your chart. So a vfr chart should do. Openflightmaps has the VFR reporting point marked or you can find them on the VFR chart for the area in question. I think you should be able to mark the point on LittleNavmap just by clicking on the map.

While it is difficult to find VFR Sectional Charts for most countries outside of the US, often AIPs will include VFR charts for areas directly surrounding airports that should be some help.

I maintain a worldwide list of links to charts and have started adding VFR links as well, eg.: http://aviation.allanville.com/charts?id=GR

You are more than welcome to submit links to VFR charts that you find for the different countries!

For Spain you have these 2 websites:

https://aip.enaire.es/AIP/AIP-en.html There you search the ICAO code of the airport you're flying. Browsing down, click on "VAC"(pdf). (Can be VAC1 and VAC2).

https://insignia.enaire.es/ There you'll find everything as a map. You can select and diselect layers. You'll find a layer of VFR with VFR procedures and CTR/ATZ exit points. With the aerodromes, you can click on one littler aerodrome and have a link to see the VFR chart.

By default you'll see some sectors drawn (good for knowing wether it is controlled or uncontrolled airspace). The sectors having e.g. "Sector 3500ft" in blue are "VFR sectors" (G class airspace, which goes from 0ft to the one written. Although this doesn't mean VFR are forbiden outside them). Sectors with pink border are A class airspace.

PD: Remember VFR are not normally allowed in LEMD and LEBL.
