Kyle Ramsey 810181 Posted October 12, 2006 at 07:32 PM Posted October 12, 2006 at 07:32 PM In a press release from VATUSA HQ today, Jeff Turner and Craig Merriman announced that Craig Moulton has accepted the position of VATUSA Events Director. Craig is 41 years old living on the California Central Coast, married with one son (of VATSIM age). He has been around aviation his entire adult life and has about 10 hours towards his Private Pilot’s Certificate. Craig spent 11 years in the U.S. Army (but seems to have overcome it) as a UH-1 Crew Chief/Mechanic and Quality Control Technician and currently works as a contractor for the Air Force working on UH-1N (Bell 212) aircraft as shift supervisor. Craig reports he has been Flight Sim’ing since 1985 with the C-64 computer. He joined SATCO in 1999 and joined VATSIM on the first day it was open to the public. A controller in the Los Angeles ARTCC, Craig has held both the Instructor and Senior Instructor ranks. He is currently the VP-Events at American Virtual Airlines and held positions as Ops Manager and Hub Manager at the LAX Hub for AvA, and became CEO of American Virtual Airlines in order to keep it operating when the VA Founder decided to step down. Craig spends a lot of his time working on Events for AvA, as well as coordinating the joint VA/VATUSA Friday Night Ops Events and can be seen online most weekdays flying around as AAL203 or EGF203. Please join the entire staff at VATUSA in welcoming Craig to his new post. Kyle Ramsey
