Hi Guys,

I am trying to use and implement the plugin with a sector file in the USA (Denver)  i am unable to see any traffic when switching to the SMR radar Screen.  I have vigorously followed the install directions in the wiki.  Reached out to the support their.  They said the issue was user related (which i don't doubt) but refused to help me.  I sent them my ASR file but got no feedback on whether or not that was setup correctly.  If anyone would be willing to help me troubleshoot i would appreciate it.

Cheers

Graeme

Hi Graeme,

there's a "CPDLC Quick Starter Manual" that also touches the correct installation and setup of the vSMR plugin - hopefully this will help you in getting it done. You have to follow it line by line, word by word, every detail counts.

  • In Euroscope, open the Plug-ins Dialogue (Other Set menu)
  • if vSMR is not listed, click on "load" and select vSMR.dll
  • select vSMR from the list of loaded Plug-ins and have a look at the box on the bottom right that is titled "Forbidden to draw on types"
  • select "Standard ES radar screen" and then transfer it to the box on the left (called "Allowed to draw on types") by clicking on the button with the << - icon
  • do the same for "SMR radar display".

Now you can close the Plug-ins Dialogue, save your settings/profile etc.

Thank you for your help.  Ok i moved the "Standard ES radar screen" over to the left box. "SMR radar display" was already there i saved closed and reloaded Euroscope.  Still no traffic

It seems that the link doesn't open for me.

Strange, I just tested it and it worked. Maybe try the URL with https:// ==> https://vats.im/cpdlcquickstartmanual
As alternative check this thread with the same PDF as direct download:
