Wednesday night 10/18/06 CNBC has a special on American Airlines. It is titled "Inside American Airlines. A week in the life" Times are 9 PM EST. Sounds interesting.

Did anybody watch this? I taped it but am not sure if I'll have time to watch it this weekend...but I don't want to waste two hours if it wasn't all that good. Thoughts or comments from those who saw it?

I saw the first hour, and it was very detailed. Though they were holding all the REAL interesting stuff until the end.

Okay thanks for the advice guys! I don't think I'll bother watching it.

Just kidding, I'll add it to my "to-do" list

i watched it in its entirety. It is very interesting. Definetely explicitly details the business aspect of running an airline. I learned something I didnt know too, I had no idea that underneath me was a bunch of cargo along with my luggage, including some packages for some "Jim Wilson" guy.

Watched it last night - it was well worth it. Although I'm not much of an AA fan, it was really interesting to see how they operated, and it had some great flight deck photos!

I recorded it on my MythTV box, and have encoded it into H.264 or MPG4, I don't recall which, for my iPod. Too bad it is illegal for me to distribute TV shows, or I would be more than happy to host it.

Not illegal in Canada. Besides. My parents paid for the cable and I saw the show on CNBC its just I missed about 15 minutes of it while arguing with Dad because he wouldnt let me stay up to watch the last part because it was getting late.

I believe it is still illegal to distribute the recorded version even within Canada.

In Canada, it is not illegal to download the file as long as you don't distribute it. This would effectively mean that Bittorrent is illegal there, because you upload the file as well as download it.

If Fred happened to live in Canada, it would still be against the law to share with other people as this would constitute distribution.

I think that is right anyway.. Don't quote me on it as I don't live in Canada and have never been there. haha

The US is very strict with copyright and distribution laws. That why loads of illegal download sites i.e. torrent sites are hosted else where. Many contries dont give a shit

if the people are distributing software, movies, etc.
