Dan Bishop-Adams Posted October 20, 2006 at 10:22 AM Posted October 20, 2006 at 10:22 AM Hi All, Recently bought a USB headset and Im now wondering if theres any possibility of having JUST SB sounds coming through the headset (i.e. ATC comms) and the FS sound (engines etc) through the soundcard/speakers? I know you can select sound input and output devices on SB3 but I cant find anywhere to do the same on FS, or is it in fs9.cfg? Thanks in advance. Dan. Daniel Hill 810430 Posted October 20, 2006 at 10:48 AM Posted October 20, 2006 at 10:48 AM This feature can be accessed under the OPTIONS tab within Squawkbox (if that's what you're using). Once in the OPTIONS area, choose VOICE and look toward the bottom of the option box for drop-down lists. I don't know about FSInn. Norman Blackburn Posted October 20, 2006 at 11:38 AM Posted October 20, 2006 at 11:38 AM Dan, What SB3 sounds are you getting that you want to split? Voice as I think you know based on your post can be split easily; was there something else you had in mind? Norman
Dan Bishop-Adams Posted October 20, 2006 at 11:59 AM Author Posted October 20, 2006 at 11:59 AM I only want ATC comms thru the headset really. But no idea how, because the FS sound automatically comes through the headset. I want to split it so ATC comms are thru the headset and the rest through the speakers... Norman Blackburn Posted October 20, 2006 at 12:13 PM Posted October 20, 2006 at 12:13 PM Dan, FS uses the default sound device - look in control panel and make sure you have your sound card set as such. Norman
Geoff Smith 984410 Posted October 30, 2006 at 11:23 AM Posted October 30, 2006 at 11:23 AM I have a USB headset as well. The problem I have is that after about 2 to 5 minutes of use with FS the audio starts to deteriorate (crackly and staticcy) and then drops out altogether. The headset works fine for other applications; playing music etc... I have a SB Audigy 2ZS 5.1 sound card and Logitech USB headset. The computer and FS seem to both operating normally otherwise and no problem operating with speakers either. Cheers Geoff
