Headset audio output stops working

Hi there

Since I started flying online with vatsim I use the following setup:

  • On-board audio is used for microphone input and ATC (Vatsim) voice output via the same headset
  • Third party audio card provides all other sounds from the simulator via speakers

This worked perfectly, until today. Since today I cannot receive any atc voice anymore via the headset. When I change the output to the speakers I can hear it. The headset itself works perfectly, as I can test it. I can also hear other sounds generated from the sim (e.g. GSX and FSLABS PA SysteM) that use the headset.

Strangely, I did not update any software (neither vPilot, nor P3D nor any drivers).

Any ideas?

Kind regards,

Michael

Check your Windows volume mixer and ensure that your vPilot/AFV output isn't muted for the headset device:
