Control in East AFRICA

Hello,

We are a small group and we wil try to open positions in East Africa (Tanzania,Kenya,Ethiopia ,...) as ATC visitors of VATAME.

"As real as get",i read that in "désert zone",there is no Radar control,but just Radio control (like Oceanic Zone) with "position report" only.

A spécialist can me explain that for this countries ?

Yes, Central Africa has a special AIS area called ASECNA, and under French authority. All the details are here (in French and English): http://www.ais-asecna.org/ .

 

Contact me for coordination of this initiative- sounds very good as VATCAF has no ATC at the moment!

Unfortunatly ,ASECNA is only for West and Central Africa and Madagascar. (in fact, formerly french colonies)

Guinée Bis. | Guinée Equ. | Madagascar | Mali | Mauritanie | Niger | Sénégal | Tchad | Togo

 

My interesr his for EAST AFRICA from MOZANBIQUE to ETHIOPIA.

For this zone,there is a lack of information.Only DAFIF and NAVIGRAPH (payware) have informations .
