Aaron Flodin 878523 Posted November 2, 2006 at 03:36 AM Posted November 2, 2006 at 03:36 AM I don't get to make it up (much, anyway). Hehe..A likely story.... I am pleased to report that Craig Merriman has been selected to fill the position. I sent an email to all who applied letting them know. If you applied and did not get an email in return it means that for one reason or another your application did not make it to my inbox. Thanks again to all who applied! Dan Everette Posted November 2, 2006 at 06:14 AM Posted November 2, 2006 at 06:14 AM If you applied and did not get an email in return it means that for one reason or another your application did not make it to my inbox. First, congratulations Craig! Now that you're making the big money, you can buy the drinks at Margarita's.... Second, I guess this might mean a re-wording of application procedures. If someone applies, they need a confirmation that their application was recieved. Using a "did not make it to my inbox", is a load of c rap response. A simple "Got your application, thanks" would be eaiser, and applicants would know that their application was received. Dan Everette Posted November 2, 2006 at 05:18 PM Posted November 2, 2006 at 05:18 PM I’d like to apologize to Aaron Flodin. I’m sure there was no maliciousness in his post, or in the solicitation of this position. The point I was trying to make, I didn’t articulate it well enough. However, the fact that a member in this thread never heard anything back, does show there was a breakdown in communications somewhere. I just hope that future applicants can be [Mod - Happy Thoughts]ured that they will receive a confirmation of their application being received, and if not, there something happened. Again, my apologies to Aaron, and to anyone else I may have offended in this thread. I’m not a politically correct person and I call it as I see it (too many years at sea does that to someone), which isn’t in harmony with kindler, gentler online networks.
