Mark Edwards Posted June 25, 2020 at 05:02 AM Posted June 25, 2020 at 05:02 AM I am using XPlane 11.41r1 and I fear there is an issue with the weather/metar integration between Swift and X-Plane. I am observing an issue where swift only transfers three layers of wind into X-Plane - either that, or nothing above 10000ft. When flying a b738 sim at FL350, the wind indications for that level are not appearing in xplane, only the first 3 levels that appear on the sim weather tab, consequently my wind at FL350 is the same as that around 9500ft. When investigating this, I attempting to view the weather inside the xplane settings, which caused it to reset and load the real-world weather in via the local METAR. I'm not 100% clear on whether (sic) this is an issue with Swift or with X-Plane. Will have to trawl the code to work out how the integration happens and whether there is an issue with how xplane recognises weather submissions from the swift client. Andreas Fuchs Posted June 25, 2020 at 07:51 AM Posted June 25, 2020 at 07:51 AM Hi Mark, thanks for your report! What version of swift are you using? The latest ALPHA .377 has had some changes to the weather-code to fix issues.
