Dear all,

there have been instances that members have been willing to provide ATC services or connecting as ATC at North Korea airspace .
This is to kindly let you all know, North Korea airspace falls under VATKOR Division jurisdiction, hence approval for visiting ATC status is needed by VATKOR in order to connect as ATC. Everyone is aware of this airspace peculiarities, it is difficult to provide a smooth supply of scenarios and charts to North Korean airspace. Currently, our branch of VATKOR Division is continuing efforts to open the North Korean Airspace (Pyongyang vACC, ZKKP FIR). Though this is expected to take some time.
Questions may be directed to VATKOR staff with Cc the Region Director of Asia .
Thank you

ANASTASIOS STEFOPOULOS
Vice President | Asia Pacific Region
