Ross Carlson Posted August 17, 2020 at 07:01 PM Posted August 17, 2020 at 07:01 PM (edited) We are aware of a problem with the new Microsoft Flight Simulator where if you run certain types of SimConnect applications (of which vPilot is one) then it causes significant frame rate reduction and stuttering. This is a problem with the release version of MSFS. It is not an issue with vPilot or VATSIM, and it wasn't an issue in the alpha and beta versions of MSFS. We have notified the Asobo dev team and they are working on it. I just put out a new version of vPilot that warns users of this issue. Once Asobo has resolved the issue, I will put out a new version which removes the warning message. Mike Akers Posted August 28, 2020 at 01:32 AM Posted August 28, 2020 at 01:32 AM They mention the FPS issue with Simconnect in today's development update. Patch should be released within 7 days. Fabiano Heringer Posted February 25, 2021 at 10:17 PM Posted February 25, 2021 at 10:17 PM Hey Guys, I guess that problem back on 1.13.16.0 release. I´m getting from 40fps to 17fps when I start vPilot. Only starting, the fps don´t drop, but when connect to network the fps goes down. No traffic on airport (just me). That is likely just a coincidence ... there is essentially no way that changing servers would have any effect on your sim's performance.
