Jeff Clark
Noticed that when I 'end flight' and go to main menu in MSFS2020, I get a lot of 'failed to create aircraft XXXX using model" errors. Does this mean that I should have downloaded some sort of model library? (I had to do something like this for the xplane client) but didn't see this mentioned in the installation documents for vpilot?)
Ross Carlson
If these errors are coming through when you end the flight, you can ignore them. This is due to a strange timing quirk in MSFS SimConnect. I will likely have a workaround ready soon. 1 Developer: vPilot, VRC, vSTARS, vERAM, VAT-Spy Senior Controller, Boston Virtual ARTCC
Keith Smith
Jeff, do you have any community liveries installed, or is everything bone stock?
Jeff Clark
Absolutely nothing installed except for FS2020 itself and fresh install of vpilot.
Marco Baehler
I'm getting this error the whole time when flying on vatsim... Not just when ending the flight. And there really seems to be issues with the modelmatching, not quite sure why. I was flying out of Amsterdam yesterday and there should have been loads of planes on the ground and around the airport but I only saw like 2-3. Ross Carlson
Jeff, as I said earlier, you can ignore the error if it happens when you go to the main menu. Marco, do you have any third party livery packs installed? Ross Carlson
Where did you get the pack? Developer: vPilot, VRC, vSTARS, vERAM, VAT-Spy Senior Controller, Boston Virtual ARTCC
Marco Baehler
Got this one: https://www.msfsaddons.org/liveries/liveries-megapack-v4 Marco Bähler Leader Pilot Training vACC Switzerland vacc.ch
Ross Carlson
That pack unfortunately overrides and removes some of the default aircraft liveries and makes them unusable. That's the cause of the problem. I'm not fully versed in creating add-ons for MSFS yet, so I'm not sure what the fix is, but I think the author of that pack needs to not remove any of the default liveries.
