Xavier Van Nieuwenhuyse 81 Posted November 15, 2006 at 06:50 PM Posted November 15, 2006 at 06:50 PM It's a good idea to use a frequency that your student will not be listening in on so that he/she cannot see what you are telling the aircraft to do. How can this be done? If I use the transmission for Twr Trainer on the primary frequency, and voice using a second frequency with transmit disabled, to do the voice talk to the student, than the voice can not be transmitted. If I do activate transmit, than the commands to Twr Trainer aircraft come on both frequencies. Is there a work around? Ross Carlson Posted November 15, 2006 at 07:52 PM Posted November 15, 2006 at 07:52 PM What I do is use a Comms Panel entry with 199.997 as the freq, and rw.bostonartcc.net/sweatbox as the voice URL. The student would use a Comms Panel entry with 128.800 (KBOS Tower) as the freq, and rw.bostonartcc.net/sweatbox as the voice URL. So, the student connects to the right voice room, but is listening on a different text freq.
