Ross Carlson Posted November 18, 2006 at 03:43 AM Posted November 18, 2006 at 03:43 AM Hello all, I just posted a new version of TWRTrainer for divisional and regional staff to download and distribute to instructors. This version fixes a bug where you could not [Mod - Happy Thoughts]ign a squawk code starting with a zero. It also fixes a bug where you could not have a taxiway that connects to a runway at more than one point. Mark Richards Posted November 19, 2006 at 02:30 AM Posted November 19, 2006 at 02:30 AM I downloaded and installed the new version last night and now the airport files I have been using fine with the old version no longer work I get lots of Unknown line format found on line xxx: errors in both files. Mark Richards Posted November 21, 2006 at 11:22 AM Posted November 21, 2006 at 11:22 AM Hi Ross Hope you got the files yesterday. I would imagine you have been somewhat busy in the past couple of days. Mark Mark Richards (811451) Auckland, New Zealand
Ross Carlson Posted November 22, 2006 at 05:15 AM Author Posted November 22, 2006 at 05:15 AM I've responded to Mark via email, but I figured I'd post here as well. The problem is due to extra spaces at the ends of lines. There can be no extra spaces or tabs on a line. The old version ignored these lines, but the new version is more strict about line formatting. Mark Richards Posted November 22, 2006 at 12:20 PM Posted November 22, 2006 at 12:20 PM I've responded to Mark via email, but I figured I'd post here as well. The problem is due to extra spaces at the ends of lines. There can be no extra spaces or tabs on a line. The old version ignored these lines, but the new version is more strict about line formatting. A very embarr[Mod - Happy Thoughts]ed Mark found the extra spaces. They were actually in the spaces between lines. I'd checked all the lines for an additional space at the end of the line but missed a few BETWEEN - i.e.: [TAXIWAY U] -41.32622 174.81026 -41.32639 177.81216 [TAXIWAY V] -41.32920 174.81004 -41.32925 174.81195 Where was just that, I'd hit the space bar in error. Thanks to Ross's wonderful help and support, the files are now working again. Mark Mark Richards (811451) Auckland, New Zealand
