Kelly Sandaine Posted October 9, 2020 at 05:20 PM Posted October 9, 2020 at 05:20 PM (edited) I am trying to set up the Beechcraft g36 in simbrief as a plane because it currently is not available and I don't know what a similar plane would be. I am unable to find info regarding what it uses for Radio/nav, Transponder type, I assume c or s, and the pbn capabilities. Anyone know this info or a similar plane I should choose in simbrief for my flight plans. Thanks guys, Kelly Edited October 9, 2020 at 05:20 PM by Kelly Sandaine
Mike Sweeney Posted October 10, 2020 at 09:11 PM Posted October 10, 2020 at 09:11 PM (edited) If SimBrief generates a flight plan including these, should be accurate or close enough (for VATSIM): Type/wake: BE36/L 10 Equip: SBGRZ/LB2 18 Other: PBN/B2C2D2 NAV/SBAS PER/A REFERENCE: [based on FAA implementation for ICAO flight plan format]- Aircraft Type Designators (lookup)- ICAO PBN/RNAV-RNP Codes - Flight Plan Form 7233−4 (AIM 5-1-9)S = Standard (VOR/ILS/VHF) B = LPV (SBAS) G = GNSS (GPS) R = RNAV Z = Other LB2 = transponder/ADS-B (In and Out) B2C2D2 = RNAV capability (assumed, as typical) NAV/SBAS = WAAS/LPV PER = Category A (approach speed <90kts) SUR/ = ADS-B (1090 Mhz or UAT) DOF/ = Date of flight (yyyymmdd) (*) - assumes Bonanza G36 has GPS equipment and typical RNAV capabilities; otherwise, delete/modify as appropriate. - some codes optional/irrelevant for online simulation (e.g. ADS-B, aircraft HEX code, accuracy for transponder type, etc.) Similar Aircraft As a starting point for new setup, it appears that SimBrief has an Aircraft Profile available for a piston single engine, Cessna 172R - row 11 (or near). Hope this helps. Edited October 10, 2020 at 10:02 PM by Mike Sweeney Mike / 811317
