vPilot detects supported simulators by looking in the registry. For MSFS, it looks for these keys:

  • SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\FlightSimulator.exe\InstallLocation
  • SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\FlightSimulator.exe\Path
  • SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Steam App 1250410\InstallLocation
  • SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Steam App 1250410\Path
  • SOFTWARE\Valve\Steam\Apps\1250410\InstallLocation
  • SOFTWARE\Valve\Steam\Apps\1250410\Path

It looks for these keys under both HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and HKEY_CURRENT_USER

Do you have any of those keys in your registry?

Note that there is a search function in the registry editor.

Be careful not to delete or change anything accidentally. It can cause problems with your computer.

What is the exact error you're getting from vPilot? A screenshot would be best.

I can't make out the text in that screenshot ... can you post one that isn't resized? And when you take the screenshot, click on the key in the list on the left so that it populates the panel on the right.
