Roger Schaffert 987463 Posted November 26, 2006 at 06:33 AM Posted November 26, 2006 at 06:33 AM Can serv Info be set to auto update? Another question; I have install servinfo on three computers. Only on one does it work completely. On the other two I can't see aircraft not weather. Are there any issues with computer settings, active x, or the like? Thanks, Roger

Roger Schaffert 987463 Posted November 28, 2006 at 01:03 AM Author Posted November 28, 2006 at 01:03 AM Thank You Lennart, Do you know anything regarding the aircraft displays. I have three computers loaded with serve info. Two desktops (1 being my FS machine) and one laptop. The laptop worked up until today. I tried installing yet on another laptop. The laptop would start the program and load without any pop up windows and show aircraft and tags. The other three computers and just minutes ago the working laptop give the three screen scenario. 1st the server data warning screen asking where to download from and the last updated etc.. 2nd, an info screen advising what won't be displayed. Then 3rd, another warning screen asking if I want to keep the outdated data? When serveinfo on the laptop was working right all I needed to do was push the Vatsim icon and everything would refresh. Most confusing is that the one working laptop has now stopped and is acting like the others. And by the way The working one worked right after install without ever opening the options menu. Paul O'Donnell 969350 Posted November 28, 2006 at 01:11 AM Posted November 28, 2006 at 01:11 AM Hi Roger, the dataservers which store the data to update servinfo is currently down. So servinfo won't display any data unless you load the data from a few hours ago. Theres some other posts about this in the general discussion forum.. So don't worry, its not your computer that has the problem. I'm sure the dataservers will be back up and running soon. Roger Schaffert 987463 Posted December 1, 2006 at 04:41 AM Author Posted December 1, 2006 at 04:41 AM This should be clearly stated somewhere in the serve info help. After two weeks of having three out of four of my computers getting the server warning on startup I just read a post online that indicated your computer clock must be right or serveinfo will not work properly. I set the clocks on all the other cmputers and wa-la I had aircraft displays and tags on all my machines. I was thinking video cards, drivers, etc. We learn something new every day!
