Paul Byrne Posted November 26, 2006 at 07:07 AM Posted November 26, 2006 at 07:07 AM Hi guys, On behalf of vZBW I want to thank everyone who came out for real ops tonight. We had an amazing amount of traffic and everyone of us had a blast! I only managed to get on near the end, but still had a lot of work to do before the airspace cleared up. Great night. We hope you enjoyed yoursleves. Here's to the next one. Cheers! Paul Byrne vZBW - TA

David Vail 854328 Posted November 26, 2006 at 03:05 PM Posted November 26, 2006 at 03:05 PM As a less than regular flier over the past year, this Boston event was the inducement for me to make some time to get back into the real fun part of simming - VATSIM. To all the Boston controllers, THANK YOU for a great night and congratulations on a well coordinated event!! Alberto Molteni 915217 Posted November 26, 2006 at 04:35 PM Posted November 26, 2006 at 04:35 PM I flew in from Seattle. I was expecting some tailwind but actually got a very strong headwind, so I only made it into Boston at 0500z. Thanks for the late service, much appreciated! Dan Everette Posted November 27, 2006 at 04:52 AM Posted November 27, 2006 at 04:52 AM And my apologies to the few pilots who were with me on S_CTR, who may have thought I was a bit "short" with them on frequency. Wasn't used to working 14 or so real-world CTR sectors in the N90-A90 corridor, and what turned out to be more than real-world traffic loads. Though this was "real-world ops" (which I read as real world for the controllers... I'm sorry if you felt I was a bit too demanding on freq to "make the turn now".) I was incredibly impressed with all the pilots who took the holds over PVD in stride, and flew that hold as published, without complaint. Also to all the pilots who dealt with the vectoring to get you in as efficiently as possible, Thank you! Also, thanks to Kevin Kan on NY_KND_CTR for the outstanding support last night! Looking forward to the next event! Regards, -Dan Everette CFI, CFII, MEI Having the runway in sight just at TDZE + 100 is like Mom, Warm cookies and milk, and Christmas morning, all wrapped into one.
