Will there be an update to AFV that will allow real-time audio mapping while controlling? Right now, the only way to move audio from headset to speaker, or vice-versa, is to disconnect first, open up settings, make the adjustments, then connect. Ideally, it would be really useful to have the option to route audio to headset or loudspeaker for each frequency, especially now that multiple frequency usage has been given the go-ahead in the latest ATC-FIM policy.

Hi Dustin - not sure (and can't speak to) what the future of AFV will allow, but I've worked around this by using a program called VoiceMeeter. You set the audio output from AFV to VoiceMeeter and then you can choose (in real time) which output device you want. I'm not sure if the same is possible with input devices.

More detailed instructions in this document, starting on Page 6: https://atchub.bvartcc.com/atcfiles/BVA_AdditionalSoftwareGuide.pdf.

I was going to respond with something similar, but, on re-reading the initial post, I realized that the poster is talking about the ability to monitor a second frequency on a secondary audio device at the same time (i.e. where he says "... for each frequency").  That, I don't know of a workaround for at this time, and I agree it would be extraordinarily useful to be able to do as a controller, particularly when working one position but also acting as a monitor/mentor for an underlying one.

Cheers,
-R.

I will look into Voicemeeter, Evan, thank you for the suggestion. While Robert is correct in identifying my ultimate goal for frequency/audio management, I think VM might help me manage audio from AFV and Discord, which seems to be the go-to for coordination these days.
