Danny Moore Posted December 2, 2020 at 01:51 AM Posted December 2, 2020 at 01:51 AM (edited) I'm running vPilot Host Mode for and decided to give 2020 a try that I purchased from MS Store. vPilot doesn't seen to see MSFS2020. Connected to simulator: No. Works great for P3D. My registry entries are correct from the other post I read here.. Any suggestions? Ross Carlson Posted December 2, 2020 at 02:34 AM Posted December 2, 2020 at 02:34 AM Does the vPilot host window show that it is trying to connect to the simulator? Ross Carlson Posted December 2, 2020 at 04:23 AM Posted December 2, 2020 at 04:23 AM Press the Debug button, and see if the console window shows messages like this: [23:22:27.231] vPilot version 2.6.10 [23:22:27.399] Attempting simulator connection... Ross Carlson Posted December 2, 2020 at 05:52 PM Posted December 2, 2020 at 05:52 PM Then something is preventing the SimConnect connection from working. Have you messed around with any SimConnect.xml, SimConnect.ini, or SimConnect.cfg files on your system? Danny Moore Posted December 2, 2020 at 06:25 PM Author Posted December 2, 2020 at 06:25 PM If you referring to the ones in the 2020 folder, I only see the XML one which I have not touched, I do have those files for P3D in the P3D and Documents folder. Would they cause a conflict?
Ross Carlson Posted December 2, 2020 at 08:18 PM Posted December 2, 2020 at 08:18 PM If you have a .cfg file in your My Documents folder, that could cause problems, since that will be used by any SimConnect application. Try temporarily renaming it. 1 Developer: vPilot, VRC, vSTARS, vERAM, VAT-Spy Senior Controller, Boston Virtual ARTCC
Danny Moore Posted December 2, 2020 at 11:37 PM Author Posted December 2, 2020 at 11:37 PM Ross Removing the SimConnect.cfg from My Document solved the problem. Both P3D and MSFS2020 now work in vPilot Host Mode. Thanks for the help. Dan
