FIrst Ever End To End IFR!! - Big thank you MAN_CTR Controller - 03/12/2020

Well evening all,

Did my first first e2e today from EINN to EGCN - lots of ATC coverage and i really enjoyed it until UK, very buys tonight and lots going on. HOWEVER!

I wish there was a way to get the persons (MAN_CTR Controller name) after the fact, but put simply this was my fifth attempt at trying to go end to end IFR, previous attempts ended in either task saturation, no ATC or I took the shortcut to Australia 🙂.

Left EINN  on route to EGCN everything was going fine then started to get task saturated so did as per training, fly the plane, i was trying to talk but traffic was heavy, kept getting stepped on so, i think the controller noticed this and then changed to text for me. 

i was able to get descent planning and vectors to ils RWy 20 all over text before he had to sign off, wish i could ping him a message to say he was part of my first big milestone "end to end IFR Vatsim !!"

Thanks so much to that controller - i was so close to disconnecting but with their help we made it together !!!  next into Heathrow........ perhaps not LOL

Tonight was nothing for London airspace, it can get way crazier. 😉 I also hadn't been there in a while until today and it's really quite an experience every time.

@Jonas Hey 1286129 was on MAN_CTR last night from just before 2000 until just after 2100.   I remember you overflying Dublin as I was flying in there so that timeframe fits...

hah yeah i think you were below me 11 o'clock 🙂 cool thanks can leave some feedback now, out of curiosity how did you find this out?

Yeah, that sounds about right!

I searched on https://stats.vatsim.net for the callsign.  Then checked to see who had last logged on on that date and Jonas was the only name that came up - which tied in with my recollection of seeing who was on from VATSpy.
