Nick Marinov Posted December 20, 2020 at 09:28 PM Posted December 20, 2020 at 09:28 PM (edited) Hi all, After a very tough and a long year for all, we are fast approaching 'the most wonderful time of the year'. During these weeks, we all look back on the year to finish and reflect on it. During 2020 VATEUD has begun an overhaul of how we do things. We have started to work more as a team and not different vACCs and one group of people above them. We have brought the vACC directors closer to the bigger picture and closer to the decision-making process. We have also started to regularly meet with people from across the division to talk about and discuss the problems that we as a division and the different vACCs therein face and how to move us closer to making our hobby and VATSIM even better for our membership. This includes policy changes, more exams and ratings that were issued, staff changes which have been seen to give the division a new perspective and ideas for going forward and more. This all would have never been possible without our volunteers - the staff members. The number of people on staff in VATEUD and its vACCs is in the three digits. Each and every one of them deserves a huge "THANK YOU" for their work, time, commitment, enthusiasm and last, but certainly not least, passion. We are thriving thanks to you! We rarely think about the people who make this show possible and I want to take this opportunity as division director to bring them all to the spotlight. And now, I will turn to the future. After a very successful year for VATSIM and VATEUD, we are looking forward to even more new projects that we will be undertaking in VATEUD, including a new division policy that will be made for and with the help of all vACCs and EUD staff, a new website, a new training system (in collaboration with the Europe, Africa and Middle East Region) and more. We are keen to share more information with you when we believe we can show a sneak peek or two. Only a few days before Christmas, on behalf of VATEUD, I would like to wish you a Merry Christmas, for those of you celebrating, and jolly holidays and a happy new year to everyone! These weeks are a time that many of us will spend with our families and loved ones. It is natural that we take a step back from all duties. As such, please be aware that replies from staff members from VATEUD may be slower than usual until we come back to full speed when we return in 2021. 🎅🎄 Edited December 20, 2020 at 09:38 PM by Nick Marinov 2 NICK MARINOVAssistant to the Vice President Europe, Middle East and Africa Supervisor Team Leader [email protected]
