Should they not taxi forward by the displaced ammount on the runway so there sat ready at the displaced threshold? or have i got the wrong end of the stick here with the file? as always looking forward to your advice taxiway A info [TAXIWAY A] ;junction to rwy24 to A 52.454721 -1.74567 ;junction to taxiway B 52.4622222222222 -1.75416666666667 ;junction to taxiway AL south end 52.465 -1.75722222222222 ;junction to taxiway AL north end 52.4663888888889 -1.75888888888889 ;junction to runway 15/33 52.4655555555556 -1.761026 yours Darren Fletcher
Ross Carlson Posted December 1, 2006 at 06:54 PM Posted December 1, 2006 at 06:54 PM I'm not entirely sure I understand your question, but I can tell you that displaced thresholds have nothing to do with takeoffs or positioning. Aircraft are allowed to use the displaced threshold area for the takeoff roll. Displaced thresholds only affect the point at which aircraft touch down when landing.
