Gordon Mollins Posted January 11, 2021 at 09:08 PM Posted January 11, 2021 at 09:08 PM I have just decided to fly on VATSIM using MSFS. I therefore downloaded the latest stable version of V Pilot. When I click the shortcut link or even the.exe folder to open V Pilot, I get a box in the middle of my screen saying 'The parameter is incorrect' V Pilot has been automatically installed in this location C:\Users\Myname\AppData\Local\vPilot Has anyone else came across this problem on initial installation and know how to resolve it? Ross Carlson Posted January 11, 2021 at 10:18 PM Posted January 11, 2021 at 10:18 PM What messages do you have in the main vPilot window when this error pops up? Gordon Mollins Posted January 11, 2021 at 10:28 PM Author Posted January 11, 2021 at 10:28 PM Hi Ross. Problem now sorted. I still had the vPilot screen for download still open. I closed my browser and restarted my PC. I am now setting up vPilot. Thanks for your help
Ross Carlson Posted January 11, 2021 at 10:44 PM Posted January 11, 2021 at 10:44 PM That must be a happy coincidence, since having the vPilot web site open could not cause that error message. Glad it's sorted out, anyway! Developer: vPilot, VRC, vSTARS, vERAM, VAT-Spy Senior Controller, Boston Virtual ARTCC
