Marvin Toepfer Posted January 12, 2021 at 04:57 PM Posted January 12, 2021 at 04:57 PM Hello everyone, as FLai is no longer supported, I moved over to AIG. AIG comes with nice custom sounds to each aircraft and it works absolutely fine in offline mode. When connected on VATSIM, the engines of any other pilots are constantly on high speed. Is there any chance that the throttle settings of other pilots are noticed by vpilot so that I also can hear the reverse thrust, takeoff thrust, taxi..sounds? Or is it planned at least? That would bring so much more immersion on airports. Kind regards, Marvin (P3Dv5, vpilot, AIG)
Ross Carlson Posted January 12, 2021 at 06:08 PM Posted January 12, 2021 at 06:08 PM The VATSIM network protocol does not include sending engine rpm, thrust level, reverse thrust, etc. Currently we only know if the engines are running or not. (And which engines are running.) So this would require a network protocol change. It is likely something we'll include if/when we do a reworking of the network protocol and server.
