Jan Grenov Posted January 13, 2021 at 10:29 AM Posted January 13, 2021 at 10:29 AM I hope that this is the right forum to post this issue. I am experiencing an error every time I try to run vPilot. Please refer to the attached png. It seems that the problem may have something to do with the sound card. (?) When I click Details ... the main error exception message is this:**************Exception text************ NAudio.MmException: UnspecifiedError calling waveInOpen ved NAudio.Wave.WaveInEvent.OpenWaveInDevice() ved NAudio.Wave.WaveInEvent.StartRecording() ved GeoVR.Client.Input.Start(String inputDevice) ved GeoVR.Client.UserClient.Start(String inputAudioDevice, String outputAudioDevice, List`1 transceiverIDs) ved e6.h() ved e6.a(Object A_0, es A_1) Is there a fix for this? Robert Shearman Jr Posted January 13, 2021 at 07:02 PM Posted January 13, 2021 at 07:02 PM Usually means Windows is not allowing vPilot to access the mic. Go under Windows Sound Capture Device settings and check there first. Cheers, -R.
Jan Grenov Posted January 14, 2021 at 08:45 AM Author Posted January 14, 2021 at 08:45 AM Thanks Robert That solved the problem. As I used to be a developer myself I expect that the vPilot developers may want to know about this error. ... hope that some developer is following this post :-) It should not be a great work to add an error trapper that sends a informative message to the user. Thanks again. Regards Jan
Ross Carlson Posted January 14, 2021 at 03:25 PM Posted January 14, 2021 at 03:25 PM This is an error in AFV (the voice library) ... the AFV devs are aware of it. There have been many posts about it.
