As the final step of VATSIM's migration to a new, innovative event publishing solution, we will as of January 26th no longer promote events posted on this forum. Divisional and sub-divisional marketing representatives and event staff for VATSIM recognized facilities should now publish events and controller exams through the myVATSIM platform. 

If you haven't yet got access to publish events on myVATSIM, contact your vACC director. vACC directors without role-designation privileges are asked to contact their divisional director for access.

This forum will still be available to allow Virtual Airlines, unofficial groups and other individuals to post events and organize group flights.
Please note that the event posting requirements are still to be followed, and events not adhering to these guidelines might be hidden.

 

We hope you will appreciate this new change! The VATSIM Marketing & Communications team is hard at work coming up with ways to market events to an even bigger audience in the future.

I have used the search function and found 17 pages of reference to "myVatsim" so I am being lazy. Can someone direct me to where this myVatsim is explained please. Reason d'etre, what it does, what's it's relevance etc etc?. Thank you.

Hi Daniel,

it sounds like you have never logged in to myVATSIM, have you? It is a dashboard that shows the current connection status of VATSIM, upcoming events, all past and current network announcements and direct access to all sorts of pages that members might need at some stage: help desk, flight planning, learning center etc.. There's nothing evil about it 😉
