Event kicks off weekly at 01:00Z

 

ZTL Gold Rush

Date: December 16, 2006

Time: 17:00 - 5:00

A challenging and rewarding two day event unlike any you have seen. Pilots will have to navigate their way by use of a Treasure Map to 10 different large and small airports scattered throughout the ZTL Airspace.

 

The object of the game is to collect the Treasures , over a two day period, using the most efficient flight planning techniques and clues from the map.

 

Prizes will be awarded !!!

 

ZLA Fly-for-kids

Date: December 16, 2006

Time: 19:00 - 22:00

Like Jacksonville and Boston, ZLA is also supporting this global event, donating 0.50 Euros to UNICEF for every landing at LAX during the event window. Information about the event can be found HERE (click), and also on the ZLA web site (click)

 

ZJX Global Christmas Charity Event / Toys for Tots

Date: December 16, 2006

ZJX is proud to be the first U.S. Artcc to join our fellow controllers around the world in hosting this wonderful event. On December 16th from 2300Z till 0300Z fifty cents ($.50 USD) will be donated to the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots Charity for every landing at KMCO.

 

Depart from your favorite airport and come visit us at Orlando to support a very good cause. 100% of the proceeds from this event will be used to purchase Toys for children that would otherwise not have a Christmas. We thank you for your support.

ZDC 103 Years of Aviation

Washington ARTCC is celebrating the 103rd anniversary of first powered flight with a fly-in to the Washington DC area airports. Join us on Saturday, December 16 from 0000 to 0300 ZULU (7-10pm EST) for a special evening of full ATC at Washington Dulles Intl (KIAD), Ronald Reagan Washington National (KDCA), and Baltimore Washington Intl. (KBWI).

 

ZBW Fly-For Kids

Date: December 16, 2006

Time: 23:59 - 4:00

Along with Jacksonville and Los Angeles, ZBW will also be supporting this global event. Flightsim.com and our own Ross Carlson will be donating 1 euro (each) for every landing at KBOS from 0000z - 0400z. We look forward to staffing for this great cause and hope to see you there!
