Applications are now being accepted for two positions within the VATSIM Caribbean Division Web Team. 

With current and future development within VATSIM Caribbean Division and our Flight Information Region, our technical team requires further staffing to assist with ensuring all our technology and web services are operational and current, to ensure our members are provided with an excellent experience. 

Individuals are expected to at least commit 1 year to the role if successful, please consider this before applying for one of the positions.

OPEN POSITIONS:

Web Assistant
System Administrator

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Web Assistant 

- Assisting with the day to day maintenance and updates of VATCAR websites and also assigned Flight Information Region websites as directed by VATCAR4. 
- Answer and complete support requests as submitted through dedicated discord channel.
- Actively engage and communicate with staff from your assigned Flight Information Regions, to understand their requirements and how you can best assist them with the development of there websites and technology. 
- Progress updates on websites to ensure security and reliability of all platforms. 
- Maintain communication with other Web Team staff and VATCAR division staff.

System Administrator

- Assist with the day to day maintenance and upgrades of internal systems including Moodle and VATCAR Roster system. 
- Work with relevant staff members to build, upgrade and maintain learning packages and courses on Moodle platform as instructed by the Training Director and FIR Training Administrators.
- Assist the Information Systems Director in the planning and implementation of new systems, as well as assisting with the creation of relevant documentation and processes.
- Liaise with all departments within VATCAR and Flight Information Region to create effective working relationships.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Web Assistant

- Currently holding a S1 rating or above.
- Have a good disciplinary record on VATSIM.
- Must of been a VATSIM member for at least a year.
- Committed to maintaining a strong presence on VATSIM while holding the staff position.
- Must be able to commit at least 2-3 hours a week on duties.
- Experience of using WordPress Platform. 

System Administrator

- Currently holding a S2 rating or above.
- Have a good disciplinary record on VATSIM.
- Must of been a VATSIM member for at least a year.
- Committed to maintaining a strong presence on VATSIM while holding the staff position.
- Must be able to commit at least 3-4 hours a week on duties.
- Experience of using and maintaining a Moodle platform.
- Experience of using WordPress Platform.
