Rhys Ivan Posted April 2, 2021 at 07:40 PM Posted April 2, 2021 at 07:40 PM Have to make the walk of shame and apologize to whoever I caused to have to do a go-around at JFK this afternoon as I was landing on 13L and they were landing on 31R. I had been broadcasting my position on what I thought was unicom, only to find afterwards (in my confusion as to why someone was landing at the same time as me on the opposite end of the runway) that I had bumped the active com frequency button by accident at some point. I have no idea how long I was broadcasting on the wrong frequency but we definitely had a game of chicken going on for a moment there!
