Losing Traffic

Thanks to previous help I am now up and running but I have one small annoying problem. To get a connection via search and 127.0.0.1 I have to disable my Norton Internet Security, this I do for 5 Mins and everythig is fine and in FS 2002 "top Down" View I see the other Vatsim aircraft traffic Idents (Parked and moving). When Norton kicks back in after the 5 mins everything still works OK, Headset and Voice etc. but I lose the Vatsim traffic idents about 2mins or so after Norton restarts. Is there a way round this or will I have to fly without knowing the whereabouts of other traffic around me?

> Norton Internet Security

Just suggest.

1. If you mean realtime anti-virus, complete disable it during fly Vatsim, I don't see any risk in this.

2. If you mean firewall, get ZoonAlarm (or use XP SP2 firewall) and then remove Norton firewall. Just because it's proved that people can get the other to work on Vatsim.

Many thanks Lennart, everything is working OK when I disable Norton Firewall and enable Windows XP firewall.

Thanks again

Norton caused me a lot of headaches, I actually just quit using it and I now use the windows firewall and the freeware AVG antivirus http://www.grisoft.com/ . Norton has many hidden programs and it really eats up the systems resources in my experience.
