Thank you Alfred and recruitment for new Hong Kong VACC Director

Dear friends,

It is with regret that we announce that Alfred will be leaving Hong Kong VACC. We are grateful for his contributions over the last 6 years and look forward to continue the good work. We are beginning recruitment for a new VACC director. Recruitment will close in a month on 25 May 2021. Interested applicants may email me: [email protected] with your CV and 2 referee letters. The referees need not be from VATSIM, but must be available for discussions regarding the candidate. Thank you.

Responsibilities

Director of Hong Kong VACC (ACCHKG1):

Reviews, monitors, develops, and implements policies and activities to achieve optimum efficiency at the Hong Kong VACC

Interacts with the divisional staff members and staff members from other VACCs to foster international cooperation and the exchange of ideas  

Manage progress of ongoing operations

Holds and presides over staff meetings on a regular basis

Collaborate with all staff members to review membership statistics consistently and ensure that each division is archiving sustainable membership growth

Collaborate with training director to monitor and refine local training policy with goals of complying with the VATSIM Global Rating Policy and a balanced number of promotion

Appoint staff members within Hong Kong VACC in accordance to this policy

Requirements

Minimum C1 rating

Staff experience in VACCs

Able to communicate in English, Chinese and Cantonese preferred

Dedicate and responsive within 3 working days

Dear all

We are lucky to have received many outstanding applicants for the role. VATSEA is pleased to announce that Jaik Patidar will take over as Director of Hong Kong VACC from 12 September onwards. With immediate effect, Jaik will join as Hong Kong VACC Director-Designate. 

We are also glad to appoint Ken Kwok as Training Director of Hong Kong VACC.

Please join us in congratulating Jaik and Ken on their new roles and we look forward to working together with Jaik, Ken and Hong Kong VACC in the future.
