Matthew Wilson 987467 Posted December 18, 2006 at 02:57 AM Posted December 18, 2006 at 02:57 AM Occasionally i find myself using the default ATC in FS9 when i dont have time for a long planned out flight. Well the last few times i was flying the ATC cut out on me. I still saw text prompts as if ATC was still talking to me, and giving me the option to respond but there was no audio. I found this odd and figured i might ask if anyone has had this problem before.
Paul O'Donnell 969350 Posted December 18, 2006 at 03:27 AM Posted December 18, 2006 at 03:27 AM I've not had that problem, but I have had the problem of being half way through my flight from EGPF Glasgow to EGBB Birmingham, and then getting vectored back to Glasgow, turned around in 2 circles, then vectored across to Ireland, then all the way back to Glasgow. The obvious answer was to ignore the ATC instructions and continue without the pathetic generic computerised ATC, but I was curious to know what they were wanting me to fly and it turned out to be a humorous flight. Obviously I ran out of fuel. But nowadays I fly most of my flights online rather than offline. and if I do fly offline, I tend not to use the ATC. Matt Chase 974571 Posted December 18, 2006 at 03:29 AM Posted December 18, 2006 at 03:29 AM Ah yes, nothing like being told to intercept the ILS at 13000 feet. Never fly offline. That's my solution. Matt Chase VATPAC C1 /O
