Board of Governors Jannes van Gestel Posted May 31, 2021 at 02:53 PM Board of Governors Posted May 31, 2021 at 02:53 PM (edited) The Curaçao FIR Training Administrator is an important link between the pilots who travel through the Curaçao FIR skies and the controllers who assist them during their journey. The Curaçao FIR Training Administrator is expected to be able to commit to at least 6 months on the job, with possibilities to climb the ranks within the FIR as future (Deputy) Air Traffic Manager. REPORTS TO: Curaçao FIR Air Traffic Manager RESPONSIBLE FOR: All Training of the Curaçao FIR, including but not limited to the following duties: - Providing leadership to instructors and mentors. - Monitoring, reviewing, and enhancing the training program of the Curaçao FIR. - Regularly reviewing ATC progression, and ensuring that upgrade recommendations for qualified candidates are forwared to the division promptly. - Compile quarterly FIR Training reports for the Curaçao FIR Air Traffic Manager. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: The successful applicant will meet the following minimum standards: - A familiarity with Curaçao FIR ATC operations and regulations. - A familiarity with pilot operations. - Minimum of S3 rating, C1 rating preferred, and be in good standing within the VATSIM Network. - Some past experience in staff rolls, or other managerial experience. - A commitment to maintain a strong online presence throughout their appointment, in addition to a minimum of 3 hours per week working specifically in the role of Curaçao FIR Training Administrator. - The ability to communicate clearly and professionally through various mediums to people of different experience levels and cultures. - Fluent in the English language.
