The San Juan CERAP, Piarco, Santo Domingo and Port Au Prince FIR Training Administrator is an important link between the pilots who travel through the skies of the Eastern Caribbean and the controllers who assist them during their journey. The Training Administrator is expected to be able to commit to at least 6 months on the job.

 

REPORTS TO: Air Traffic Manager Piarco, Santo Domingo, Port Au Prince and San Juan CERAP

 

RESPONSIBLE FOR:

All Training of the Piarco, Santo Domingo, Port Au Prince and San Juan CERAP, including but not limited to the following duties:

- Providing leadership to instructors and mentors across each facility.

- Monitoring, reviewing, and enhancing the training program of each facility.

- Regularly reviewing ATC progression, and ensuring that upgrade recommendations for qualified candidates are forwarded to the division promptly.

- Compile quarterly FIR Training reports for the Air Traffic Manager.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

The successful applicant will meet the following minimum standards:

- A familiarity with ICAO and FAA operations and regulations as it pertains to each facility.

- Knowledge of Oceanic Procedures

- A familiarity with pilot operations.

- Minimum of S3 rating, C1 rating preferred, and be in good standing within the VATSIM Network.

- Some past experience in staff rolls, or other managerial experience.

- A commitment to maintain a strong online presence throughout their appointment, in addition to a minimum of 3 hours per week working specifically in the role of Training Administrator.

- The ability to communicate clearly and professionally through various mediums to people of different experience levels and cultures.

- Fluent in the English language. Familiarity with Spanish & French is a bonus.
