I have found a bunch of really nice scenery enhancers for FS2004.

The only thing left that i really dont like the look of is the roads.

Can someone reccomend a nice scenery add on for roads?

Freeware preferred.

USA Roads looks sweet but i dont feel like dropping 30 beans at this moment.

Don't go with USA Roads, go with Ultimate Terrain, it's not freeware, but worth every penny.

If you're running a fairly recent machine with 1GB of RAM, your frame rates should not be affected at all. If FS9 runs smoothly at present, you'll see no degradation in performance after you install UT.

Flight1 has a 30-day, "no questions asked" refund policy as well.

I got ulimate roads when it first came out, then ultimate terrain US, they gave a discount if you aleady had the roads. Then I got ultimate terrain canada/alaska. Both are worth every penny. I am sitll looking at ultimate terrain europe, but I have been holding off on payware stuff because of fsx.

Yes Ultimate Terrain is DEFINATELY worth the money.

No hit on my framerates, the night lighting is truly awesome.

The only problem i encountered was the 'flickering lights' issue which prompted me to update my video driver.

The prob is still there but it is very minimal.

Its cool being able to fly over Albany and show my wife the street we live on.

Good stuff.

Early x-mas present to me, from me.

Nice Matt, I knew you'd like it, and Yes the Night lighting is awesome.

I followed the roads from a trip I made last summer, Toronto to D.C. 9hr car ride, did it all VFR it's that good. Glad your enjoying it.

I agree, that it is an awesome piece of software, however I've run into the problem of running out of memory in some payware aircaft with UT-USA, even with all (4 of them now) of the patches. With UT-USA I will only be able to fly about 2 hours, then on approach for landing, the computer will give me an OOM error and there is nothing to be done but restart FS. Interestingly, without UT-USA installed I can fly all day long without this error.

Again, it IS an outstanding add-on scenery, but there is a problem in it somewhere that causes OOM errors with some systems/aircraft. I've dumped it because of the problem, and do not suffer from the OOM errors ever.

Fly Safe! Have Fun!

^^^ I saw something in the UT forums about a bgl file constantly requesting some effects file and that caused a memory leak...

...or something.

I think someone had posted a way to fix it but i didnt look into it too much because i was searching for a way to fix 'the blurries'.
