I'd just like to tell you my story...

Started out at KMSY as SWA5322 service to KMCO. A couple of guys from my VA also joined. We picked up IFR clearance to MCO as usual and took off. Myself, being a part of VATSIM for maybe 3 years, never really flew to an event, probably because it is stressful (yet so fun). We got up to cruise FL350 over the gulf of mexico. Entered Jacksonville's airspace, and made radio contact. With instructions, "cross ANDRO at 13k" I started my descent. Soon enough, was handed off to Miami Center. All is going well, until our three aircraft needed to be spaced due to congestion. I was slowed down to .70 mach. Crossing about 8k, I was handed off to Orlando Approach. Continued my arrival inbound on the MINEE3. Before starting my descent, I checked the METAR. It showed rain, and 10SM visibility. I thought, just a little rain, no problem. Now lined up Parallel to the 18R localizer, I'm descending 6k for 3k. Vectoring me around to join the loc at 2k. Traffic on the ground at MCO was amazing. Finally lining up with the localizer, right behind SWA2054 also on the approach. I contacted TWR and was told to slow down as slow and soon as possible. I threw out 40 flaps and slowed my -700 down to 123knts. My stall warning went off for a second, but was fine after. SWA2054 landed, and cleared the runway, while a British Airways flight was departing. I was looking at my TCAS. It was very close. By the time I'm on the approach, visibility is 1SM at the most, with mod rain and thunderstorms. Wind was calm though. I have the runway to myself and make my landing. Exit to the left, cross 18L, and to the gate.

I enjoyed this very much, and will make every effort to make other events. I'd just like to say, excellent job to the controllers, as they got us in (and out) efficiently and safely. THANKS CONTROLLERS!

Great to hear a fellow pilots story!

I flew in ATAv's corporate Learjet down from my hometown airport of KBDR. The enroute was uneventful, but that is fun sometimes after a long week. On descent into Orlando, we got pummeled with turbulance from storms off the Flordia coast, and soon got into absolute soup for approach. I finally got a visual on the runway about 2 miles out, and to my luck, just as I was about to flare..."Amtran 1043, sorry sir, go around."

Was vectored back to the 17R approach, and pulled off a great approach. My landing was actually not that good, but I'm not used to our Lear...

Now on my way with another company jet to Berry Island, Bahamas from Orlando. Thanks for the awesome ATC, ZJX!

Been there, on a visual approach into MDW, pilot didn't clear quick enough, and I was sent on a go around. Hey it happens, gives you practice.

Oh yeah I've had go arounds before Just not because a Delta pilot is slewing around the airport randomly!

Sounds like the one I s[Mod - lovely stuff]ed at MIA, He was sitting on a active taxiway at AA's Terminal. I thought at first, gosh, what a newbie, cant even park at his own terminal. So I taxi past him to my [Mod - Happy Thoughts]ignened RW Gate, One minute later I hear my callsign and about 5 different curse words on the freq.. So dont worry, I revenged your go around lol kinda
