Jonathon Lenoury Posted July 5, 2021 at 07:15 PM Posted July 5, 2021 at 07:15 PM I have installed the model matching for MSFS 2020, however when I run vpilot I don't see the Advanced option, only whats in the screenshot. I used to have P3D setup but this has now disappeared as I nolonger use it. I have tried a reinstall of Vpilot but it still does not find it
Ross Carlson Posted July 5, 2021 at 08:40 PM Posted July 5, 2021 at 08:40 PM The advanced option is not applicable for MSFS. Only FSX and P3D. vPilot does not scan your hard drive for models with MSFS like it does for FSX and P3D. It just has hardcoded model matching rules for the MSFS default aircraft. Thus, no advanced tab is necessary. Developer: vPilot, VRC, vSTARS, vERAM, VAT-Spy Senior Controller, Boston Virtual ARTCC
Jonathon Lenoury Posted July 5, 2021 at 08:51 PM Author Posted July 5, 2021 at 08:51 PM So do I need to download anything else to get it to work? All I see is the default planes at the moment
Ross Carlson Posted July 5, 2021 at 10:56 PM Posted July 5, 2021 at 10:56 PM Have you installed anything other than default planes for model matching? Developer: vPilot, VRC, vSTARS, vERAM, VAT-Spy Senior Controller, Boston Virtual ARTCC

Ross Carlson Posted July 6, 2021 at 01:24 PM Posted July 6, 2021 at 01:24 PM Did you install the custom model matching rules? Developer: vPilot, VRC, vSTARS, vERAM, VAT-Spy Senior Controller, Boston Virtual ARTCC
Jonathon Lenoury Posted July 6, 2021 at 08:15 PM Author Posted July 6, 2021 at 08:15 PM Yes I have the custom model matching rules in my documents within the vpilot folder. I also have the mega livery pack in the community folder
Ross Carlson Posted July 6, 2021 at 09:05 PM Posted July 6, 2021 at 09:05 PM Do you receive any red error messages when it tries to use those models for model matching? Jonathon Lenoury Posted July 7, 2021 at 05:16 AM Author Posted July 7, 2021 at 05:16 AM Yes I do, only a couple, assume those are the only ones in view at that time
Ross Carlson Posted July 7, 2021 at 02:30 PM Posted July 7, 2021 at 02:30 PM Sounds like maybe the custom liveries aren't installed correctly. Hard to say from the limited information I have here, but that's my best guess. Daniel Mckee Posted July 13, 2021 at 05:01 AM Posted July 13, 2021 at 05:01 AM Jonathon, could you post a screenie of your vPilot, Custom Rules page please. Maybe there is an incorrect link there?🙂
Jim Johnson 970018 Posted November 2, 2021 at 04:55 PM Posted November 2, 2021 at 04:55 PM I'm having the same problem of scanning MSFS model matching. I have the same display as Jonathan but BritishAvgeek appears to have a different vpilot presentation and successfully MSFS model matches!!
