Vatstats.net not working?

Hello.

Anyone else experiencing problems with vatstats.net? In the past month the website seems to malfuntion, it displayed data randomly only a couple of times. There are javascript errors in the browser's console log which indicate a code malfunction or that something needs updating.

Does anybody know any way to contact the developers?

This is the Vatstats discord  https://discord.gg/gc6QzU3g  . you will find the dev there for the site. The API is still working for the site, it is just the frontend website that is not working.

To be honest, I don't know. I'm not a front end developer. Writing the front end for vatstats was a huge task for me. Right now between work and the things I want to do for vatsim. I'm not sure when it will happen. That said I'm not against someone writing a front end for it. API is still running, anyone is free to use the API.

I was and still am big fan of vatstats.net and would like to see it back up. I do 'know' some programming, but not really the 'front end'. At this time, if of any help, these are the error messages, that are probably causing the web page to end up blank. This shows up in web console, when vatstats net is hard reloaded with empty cache (as in very clean reload):

Vatstats was an invaluable resource for me. Hopefully it can be brought back around in time.

Yes,I really like Vatstats and is a very useful tool and really miss it.

 

I am wondering when it is back up and running will the flights which have happened since the site went down still be recored?

My guess is your React app is having a tough time loading up the Google Map.  Could be the new tracking prevention being turned on, but I don't know for sure...got that from reading the debugger messages.  It's also not loading the dashboard.css due to an invalid type setting.  Those two combined could be a real issue for ya.

I tried to go into the Discord, but it said invalid invite.

Not a huge React developer, but if you'd like me to look at the code I could find some time.  Just need perms and links to the repo.

Nick,

I was on your Discord but it has since disappeared. 

I was using the API for some calls, specifically the callsign and callsign_contains params, but when I try to hit that endpoint, I get a 500.

I chat to Nick from time to time, unfortunately it does not look like it will come back, Nick is too busy to maintain the site, also he unfortunately rarely goes on Vatsim anymore. But the sites API is still semi working.

I lean on the API and it's throwing 500s when I try to search for a callsign. It's definitely not 100%.

Garry the API should be working now, Nick had to do a small update to the server. The website is still down and will remain so.
